Did you know...
SeaLegacy, founded by two Canada-based photographers Cristina Mittermeier & Paul Nicklen, is an ocean conservation organization that uses photos and footage of the oceans and their inhabitants to highlight who and what needs protection.
For example, SeaLegacy led a campaign on Instagram against the exploitation of gas & oil in Norway’s Lofoten, and succeeded in ensuring its protection for the next 4 years (the whales say thank you!🐳).
SeaLegacyalso funds and supports preventative solutions to improve the quality of our oceans, through promoting sustainable fisheries, empowering coastal women, etc.
