Around the holidays, many turn to shiny, sparkly wrapping paper. But this is a TRAP, almost all the wrapping paper ends up in a landfill - most glossy wrapping paper can’t be recycled.
So, let’s try specifically-marked recyclable paper or, even better, reusable wrapping paper.
This can be a repurposed scarf, piece of cloth, napkin, tote bag, etc. - 2 gifts in one!
And if you get a gift wrapped in wrapping paper, either reuse the paper or do the crinkle test - if you try to crinkle it and it doesn’t stay in a ball and automatically smooths out, its TRASH, but if it stays crushed, you can recycle it.
